Agriculture and crafts

» Why Service:

Agriculture and traditional crafts form the heart of India’s rural economy. Farmers and artisans work tirelessly to sustain their families and preserve centuries-old skills, yet many of them struggle with poverty, lack of resources, and poor market access.
In remote tribal and rural areas, small farmers often face unstable incomes, crop failures, and limited access to modern tools or knowledge. Similarly, skilled artisans — particularly women and differently-abled individuals — find it difficult to earn a living from their craft due to low demand or lack of support.
At HANDinHAND Society, we believe that strengthening agriculture and empowering local craftsmanship is key to building self-reliant communities. When livelihoods are secured, families can live with dignity and stability.
